Only part of designing a successful website is in the actual knowledge of the software and programs that you are using  the other half is in the way you present your information and the color schemes that you select. The only way that you can have a truly successful web page is to create one that is as functional as it is user friendly. Here are a few tips to get you started.

When it comes time to decide on the layout of the website keep your visitors in mind. Try to choose one that is easy to navigate and does not have a lot of extra items and widgets that aren’t needed if you are adding these in yourself make sure you don’t go overboard! Try to keep in mind that simple is almost always better when it comes to creating a web site. Your visitors are more likely to notice the little personal touches and become more annoyed at the extravagant ones.

Make sure that you are picking a color scheme that is easy on the eyes. You won’t be able to keep visitors on your pages if they get a head ache every time they try to read the text that you have put up. For example, bright yellow text on a black background generally is not the best idea. It makes the articles and other words appear pretty fuzzy to your online readers.

The final really important step to designing an awesome website is to always include a way for your visitors to contact you. Without that you won’t be able to receive any kind of feedback from your readers. Feedback is one of the most important aspects of learning how to create your online presence  it lets you know what people are looking for when they come to your page.

When you’re first starting out trying to work from the computer a free website has a lot of perks. For instance, they’re free! It can be a pretty awesome feeling knowing that you created a successful business from scratch with little to no start up costs aside from your time. Here are a few other reasons why a free website is a great way to start out.

They don’t really require any technical knowledge of coding, and most of the templates are as easy as clicking and dragging. The nice part about that is you can create a website in about an hour or so and then be done with it if you want to. Or, you can keep tweaking it and updating the content as you see fit. It’s all up to you!

Another great feature that free websites offer is the ability to change your design whenever you feel like it. Most make it really easy, and there isn’t any down time to your site during the transition. This can be wonderful for people who have never built a website before because they can change around the color scheme as many times as they like without dealing with the frustration of learning CSS and HTML.

Remember that the internet is always trying to sell you something! People use this media to reach large groups of people to place their ads in hope of finding a buyer. You can’t go anywhere on the net without an ad being present. These ads are there so the people who provided you with the information you seek can eat and pay the mortgage. If you like the information that you found and there is a product that is being sold it’s not a bad idea to help the site out and buy something.

When you buy something off the website that offered the product it gets a small portion of the sales. The majority goes to the supplier of the product. Keep that in mind, because if you like what a website is saying and trying to offer keep going to that website to support it. When you are out of that product again or about to be out, go back and order from the same website.

Websites use analytics to check how their website is growing. Graphs and numbers of visitors are displayed so the person how made the website knows where to focus their energy. The person who made the website might have more than one. To keep their focus on what you need keep going to the site that you need. Also it’s a good idea to spread what you have found by word of mouth.

Websites are made to serve a purpose and hopefully gain some profit out of it. There are websites that just try to sell you products out there with little information on how to use it. Don’t fall for the smaller prices of these zombie sites. Look for a site that provides in-depth information on what you are buying, that way they can keep on providing the information to you.
